Wetland restoration was required by Inland Wetlands & Watercourse Commission to complete the sale of this property. The current resident hired All Habitat Services, LLC to restore the wetland area that was infested with Common Reed (Phragmites australis), Multiflora Rose (Rosa multiflora), Japanese Knotweed (Fallopia japonica), Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris), Wineberry (Rubus phoenicolasius), etc.
All Habitat Services mulch mowed the invasive and noxious species in the wetland zone. After the initial mulching, all the debris was removed from site to prepare for establishment of seed and shrubs native to the area. All Habitat Services seeded the area with an Erosion Control & Restoration Seed Mix as well as planted Sumac, Dogwood and Beach Plum.
Once the seed and planting had established, in Spring of 2016, All Habitat Services, followed-up with a selective herbicide application to the new growth of invasive and noxious species with the wetland area. This area continues to be monitored and treated as necessary.
